Peace Collective is proud to be one of three partners providing a new Support Hub for victims and survivors of terrorism, launching on Monday 1 June 2026.

We welcome this important step towards strengthening access to coordinated support for people affected by terrorism across the UK.

The Hub brings together Victim Support, West London NHS Trust and Peace Collective to provide a more coordinated route into support for people affected by terrorism across the UK.

For victims and survivors, access to the right support can make a significant difference, not only in the immediate aftermath of an attack, but in the months and years that follow. The effects of trauma can emerge, change or intensify over time. People may need different kinds of support at different points in their lives, sometimes long after an incident itself.

Through the Hub, people affected by terrorism will be able to access coordinated support through a single route. Delivered in partnership, the service brings together dedicated caseworkers, personalised support plans, specialist provision for children and young people, and access to specialist mental health support where needed.

Peace Collective’s contribution to the Hub draws on our experience providing long-term flexible, trauma-informed support for people affected by terrorism and political violence. Our approach recognises that people’s experiences and needs are different, and that support may be needed at different times and in different ways.

“We are very proud to be part of this new partnership with Victim Support and West London NHS Trust. We know that people will need different kinds of support at different points in their lives, and often many years after their experience. The Support Hub is an important step in making support more coordinated, accessible and responsive to those changing needs over time.”

- William Roberts, Victims and Survivors service manager, Peace Collective

Peace Collective’s role within the partnership will focus on providing trauma-informed support that adapts to people’s needs over time. This may include one-to-one support, opportunities for peer connection, space to reflect on experiences and emotions, and support to navigate the longer-term impact trauma can have on relationships, identity, confidence and everyday life.

We know that people’s needs do not remain fixed. Some individuals may seek support shortly after an incident, while others may come forward years later, or find that anniversaries, public inquiries, media coverage or new events bring difficult experiences back to the surface. For others, needs may change over time, requiring different forms of support at different stages.

The launch of the Support Hub reflects growing recognition that support should not be limited to the immediate aftermath of an incident. Accessible, flexible and joined-up support can play an important role in helping people navigate the longer-term impacts of trauma and rebuild confidence, connection and wellbeing over time.

We are pleased to be working alongside Victim Support and West London NHS Trust to help strengthen access to coordinated support for victims and survivors across the UK.
