A report produced by Peace Collective for Thrive LDN (June 2025)

This report is the result of a listening and review process commissioned by Thrive LDN, exploring how their existing mental health and wellbeing resources can better meet the needs of Londoners affected by displacement, conflict and crisis.

Drawing on conversations with community members, activists, practitioners and grassroots leaders, the report surfaces key insights about what support is currently working, what’s missing, and how resources can be more inclusive, relational and relevant. It reflects on how trauma is shaped not only by personal experience but also by structural conditions, and highlights the vital role played by community-led care, informal networks and trusted relationships.

Alongside reflections and thematic findings, the report includes practical recommendations to support Thrive LDN’s future work and wider efforts to improve mental health support for those most affected by systemic injustice.

Who it's for:

  • Organisations designing or commissioning mental health support

  • Practitioners working with displaced, marginalised or crisis-affected communities

  • Funders and policy-makers seeking to understand grassroots needs

  • Anyone interested in relational, trauma-informed approaches to care
